TIME
It’s a precious thing.
This beer is our invite to take some TIME for yourself and to make some TIME for someone else.
Like our friends at Six Connections, we are big believers that mental health conversations can sit alongside chats about sport, family or tomorrow’s night tea – in a cafe, pub or at home.
WE KNOW
Given all the data, there is a clear overlap of ‘those at risk’ and those who drink ale.
“63% of men said they would be most comfortable talking about their mental health over a drink.” Source: Happiful.com
If we can reach out to those at most risk with a path to start talking about mental health, we think we can make a difference.
LET’S TALK

Life is busy.
TIME to sit, TIME to chat and TIME to listen is good for us all.
It’s free too don’t forget…
And if your chat requires a little more help, then you can find it below as well checking in with our friends at Six Connections Powered by Mates
SOME TIPS
Grab a beer and have a real conversation! #PoweredByMates- JUST BE YOU
-
There is no better conversation starter than you. Real conversations come from relationship. Your mate just needs you to be there for them so be you.
- LISTEN
-
The best conversations include a bit of quiet. Be present and focused. Allow your mate to say what they want to say and give them space to say more. This might not happen all at once. That’s ok.
- KNOW YOUR PLACE
-
You don’t have to fix everything, and you don’t need to be an expert. Add the contacts below into your phone, so you are prepared. Having some back-up allows you to feel more comfortable and fully focus on the conversation.
- LOOK AFTER YOU
-
Supporting others starts with looking after yourself. It’s hard to help others if you are struggling yourself. Keep checking in with your mates and doing the things that help you to stay healthy.
- START EARLY
-
Why not talk about this when you are doing ok? Tricky conversations are often left too late. If you and your mates chat in the good times, it will make the tricky conversations easier if they are ever needed.
“
Partnering with local businesses like this, help us to start more of the real conversations that we all need from time to time. These conversations will continue to support people and they will save lives.”
Dave Scholes (Founder of Six Connections)
